Spencer Schauer, a native to Green Bay, Wisconsin, got his start playing solo acoustic sets at bars and farmer's markets around the Green Bay and Eau Claire, Wisconsin areas during his early college years. In 2018, he released his debut studio album entitled Go which garnered some local attention in his hometown, leading to brief spots on local radio and more show opportunities. Through his music, Spencer’s goal always remains the same: to help the listener through life’s hardships by giving insight into his own struggles and promoting a free-thinking philosophy.
Melancholic yet hopeful, Spencer Schauer's latest single The Actor is a uniquely tailored exercise in self-actualization for each listener. Spencer's emotional lead and backing vocals and bright, percussive guitar create an intriguing contrast meant to guide the listener through their life's decisions, retroactively analyzing them along the way. Tying everything together, the wet but coordinated drums and tasteful electric guitar compositions create a space in which the listener can sit comfortably to digest Spencer's crafty and philosophical lyrics.
